We are proud to announce that the WMS is now an Associated Partner of the European Neuromuscular Centre (ENMC).

The ENMC has five Associated Partners, including SMA Europe and the World Duchenne Organization. Working alongside the ENMC’s eight Partner Organisations, our contributions help the ENMC accomplish its mission of connecting researchers and clinicians and facilitating collaborations within the ENMC network.

The WMS involvement with the ENMC is enabling the organisation to develop new long standing projects and secure the funding of condition-specific workshops and themed workshops. The associated partners also help the ENMC to make strategic decisions at the two-yearly General Assembly Meeting.

Several of the ENMCs programmes provide opportunities for WMS members. The Early-Career Workshop Programme allows two to three young scientists to be invited for the ENMC workshop of their choice. The Mid-Career Mentoring Programme facilitates 1-to-1 mentoring of people who already have a proven track record in neuromuscular science but who would like to broaden their leadership and communication skills.
