According to the WMS constitution, new elections will take place at the annual congress in  Kumamoto, 12-16 October 2010. Nominations should be sent to the Secretary by Friday 17, September. Members may either put their own candidacy or nominate others subject to their written approval. Electronic applications are welcome. Current members of the Executive Board are eligible to stand again. All candidates should provide a short bio (up to 250 words) of their current position, activities in relation to WMS and special areas of interest. The election will take place at the WMS general assembly meeting in Kumamoto. The number of members to be elected is 15. The new board will chose its officers (president, secretary and treasurer) at its first meeting in Kumamoto after the election.
