Introduction

Through this I express my interest in running for office at the World Muscle Society. Being a long-term member of the Society and having attending multiple meetings, I strongly believe in the vision of the society and will do my best to further it and enhance it. Muscle disorders play a big role in my life with my clinical practice almost exclusively devote to clinical care and muscle pathology interpretation. I have played leadership role at my institution and nationally in Neurology and Neuromuscular Disorders (Division Director of the Neuromuscular Disease, Chair of the Department, Section Head of the Neuromuscular Section at the American Academy of Neurology, and currently member of the Scientific Advisory Board and Of the Board of Directors for the Myositis Association). I have a strong track record of promoting equity and diversity and have mentored many individuals both locally, nationally and internationally.

Respectfully,

Tahseen Mozaffar, MD
