Patients' Association for Dysferlinopathy Japan was established with the aim of communicating with patients suffering from muscle diseases caused by Dysferlin gene mutations and working with researchers to establish early treatment methods. Dysferlinopathy is the general term for muscle diseases caused by Dysferlin gene mutations. However, the diagnosis name is confirmed based on the clinical condition (initial symptoms). If this situation continues, patients and their families will not be able to learn correct medical information about muscle diseases caused by Dysferlin gene mutations, which will cause confusion in medical, research, and government instituti.
