The Neuromuscular Disorders Association of Turkey (KASDER)

To identify the causes of neuromuscular diseases and conduct awareness-raising activities on diagnosis and treatment methods, and to work on preventive measures. Providing psychological support to muscularly disabled individuals and their families to increase their knowledge about the disease and support their participation in social life. Engaging in various activities to enhance the active participation of muscle patients in social life and developing a communication model tailored to their unique characteristics. Engaging in information, guidance, and advocacy activities that consider gender equality in the fields of muscle diseases and disability. As part of its information activities, KASDER follows national and international literature and the agenda to provide accurate and valid information individually or collectively. Producing awareness-based publications for muscularly disabled individuals and those who want to be informed about disability; organizing conferences, courses, and seminars; and preparing printed and digital publications to disseminate knowledge from medical, professional, legal, and social rights perspectives. Engaging in empowerment activities to support the active participation of muscularly disabled individuals and their families in social life and to improve their quality of life. Within the scope of advocacy activities, efforts are made both for public awareness and in the realm of social policies to ensure equal access to scientifically valid health services, and to provide medical and medical equipment support. Providing scholarship support to students to support the education and training lives of muscle patients and to include them in youth programs.
