Welcome

Dear ::first_name

Welcome back to our email newsletter. It's a busy time of year for us, with our team hard at work on our 2022 congress.

I am very pleased that nominations are now open for elections to our new Executive Board. More details about this are below. On a personal level, it has been a very exciting journey as President of the WMS for the past two years.

As well as being able to connect with the neuromuscular community across the world, the position has allowed me to work closely together with the elected officers, Gisèle Bonne and Laurent Servais, colleagues from the executive board and the programme committee, and the many members who did a fantastic job supporting us to update our website. If anyone is interested in helping us develop and proactively shape the WMS, please consider submitting a nomination by 31st August.

Best wishes

Volker Straub, President

The World Muscle Society has updated its guidelines on Covid-19 and people with neuromuscular disorders.

These recommendations are designed primarily for patients, carers, general neurologists and non-specialist medical providers. They are also intended to inform neuromuscular specialists particularly regarding frequently asked questions and basic service requirements. In-depth reference links are provided.

These guidelines have also recently been translated into Turkish and several other languages.
