Dear Friends and colleagues,

The World Muscle Society is a global community representing healthcare professionals and scientists working on neuromuscular conditions around the world, including Ukraine and Russia.

We are an academic organisation and we believe that differences should be settled through discussion and debate, not violence. Equality, inclusivity and humanitarian values are at the heart of our organisation.  

We are following the news of Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine with great sadness, and I am gravely concerned for colleagues, patients and families who are impacted by the conflict. Our thoughts are with them, wherever they live or work.

We are in the process of reaching out to our members who we think are impacted. We will be closely watching the situation to understand how we may be able to provide support.
