Are you ready for WMS 2024?

With just six weeks to go until WMS 2024, we are replacing our regular WMS member newsletter with some important Congress updates. We know that not all our members will join us for the Congress, but out of our 800 Society members, more than 500 have registered to attend the Prague Congress in October. It may be that some of those not yet registered are also still planning on joining us.

The Local Organising Committee, Programme Committee and the management team are all working behind the scenes to make sure the Congress is a success and we are looking forward to welcoming more than 1,000 delegates to Prague.
 
CONGRESS GUIDE
New for 2024 is our Congress Guide. This comprehensive guide to the 2024 Congress in Prague covers everything you need to know, from how to use the local public transport to how to submit questions during Congress sessions.

2024 CONGRESS HIGHLIGHTS
Each year we try to make sure the WMS Congress is even better than the last one. We use your feedback to constantly evolve what's on offer at the Congress. 

This year, we have a number of highlights that build on previous successes and others that are brand new for 2024. You can read all about our 2024 highlights on the Congress website.
 
LEGACY TOKENS
At WMS 2024, we will be replicating the Legacy Tokens initiative launched in Charleston in 2023. This year, our Local Organising Committee has nominated four local good causes to share our legacy donation of £10,000.

POSTER PRESENTATION UPLOADS
If your abstract has been selected for inclusion at the Congress, now is the time to submit the digital file of your poster. All of the posters will be available for delegates through the virtual Congress platform and the Congress app, so it's essential we receive yours by 13th September.

CAREGIVER GRANTS
We're proud to once again be offering a Caregiver Grant to Congress in-person attendees who need help covering the cost of care for themselves or for people they care for. This year, we have doubled the value of the grant from £500 in 2023 to £1,000 in 2024.

CONGRESS REGISTRATION
We currently have a record-breaking 1,100 people registered to attend WMS 2024. More than 1,050 will be joining us in Prague, with the remainder attending virtually. It's not too late to register. You have until 12th September to sign up to attend the Congress. 

And you don't have to worry about language being a barrier. We will provide live translation in all sessions. Register now on the Congress website.

INTERESTING CASES
Each year at the Pre-Congress Teaching Course, we review interesting cases and try to solve them using the combined knowledge of the people in the room. In 2023, for the first time, we did the same thing with the full Congress audience. 

We're currently accepting submissions of your interesting cases for consideration in Prague. You will find the link to the submission portal in the email sent to all registered attendees last week. To find out more, visit the Congress website.
