Adults with neuromuscular disease frequently face late diagnosis, complex multisystem needs, and fragmented care pathways, including transition to adulthood.

This masterclass equips clinicians with the skills to recognise adult presentations of common neuromuscular conditions, manage adult-specific complications, and deliver coordinated, high-quality care across all neuromuscular conditions.

Masterclass objectives include the following:

• Differentiate childhood and adult neuromuscular presentations and apply this understanding to adult diagnostic pathways.
• Identify and address key gaps in adult neuromuscular services, including transition, fragmentation, and access to specialist MDT care.
• Develop practical, patient‑centred skills for managing adults with NMD, including communication, psychosocial support, and multidisciplinary coordination
